Herpes Signs and Symptoms
How do you know if you have herpes
Most people who are infected with the HSV virus do not really know that they are actually infected of the said virus. It is because the signs and symptoms of herpes are so mild that anyone can’t easily notice it. The worst herpes symptoms signs are the first outbreak because it might be very painful and itchy. It is because during this time, a person with herpes can have fever, headache, muscle aches, and groin’s swollen lymph nodes.
However, the main signs are the sores in the area near the anus, buttocks, penis, scrotum, thighs, or vagina. The sores appear as a sudden red bumps at first after the infection has been acquired. It usually happens after the several days. The red bumps will then become blisters after some time which has more possibility of opening up. These rapid opening up can result to a real pain to the infected person. Also, the ruptures can result to bleeding or oozing ulcers. However, after a long period of time, the sores will then heal. The healing can be completed after 10 to 20 days of the first outbreak. During these healing days, the sores will actually become covered with a scab.
Not The Same For Everyone
The herpes symptoms signs vary from one person to another. As a matter of fact, this kind of disease can happen again for years. However, the signs and symptoms of herpes during the recurrent period may just be similar to the first outbreak. They are not that severe though. The outbreaks during the recurrent period are said to be shorter than the first outbreak. Most people who have repeated outbreaks have prodrome. This term is usually being used in the medical world to refer to an early symptom before specific symptoms of a particular disease occur. The most common recurrent herpes symptoms signs are the appearance of itchy rashes.
Unfortunately, there is no particular cure for the recurrence of infections. This is not that good because it sometimes causes a person’s emotional miseries and embarrassments. However the presence of herpes as a disease is not a good reason to give up relationships or to avoid sexual intercourses at all. It is because it can still be prevented if necessary protection has been made.
